And & Or

And & Or

There are conjunction, inclusive disjunction and exclusive disjunction in Arka.
They are "o," "az" and "ul."

an siina aples o miik. = I like apricots and apples.

"az" means exclusive disjunction.
aples az miik = an apricot or an apple

"ul" means inclusive disjunction.
aples ul miik = an apricot and/or an apple.

De Morgan's Laws

○∨ indicates exclusive disjunction.

tu et har o gek = red and round = p∧q
tu et har ul gek = red and/or round = p∨q
tu et har az gek = red or round = p○∨q
tu de har o gek = tu et en har ul en gek = ¬(p∧q)=¬p∨¬q
tu de har ul gek = tu et en har o en gek = ¬(p∨q)=¬p∧¬q
tu de har az gek = ¬(p○∨q)

If you negate "tu et har o gek" (This is red and round), you will get "tu de har ul gek" (This is not red and/or round)
You have to change "o" into "ul."

Or Other

aples az miik az alt = an apricot or an apple or other
aples ul miik ul alt = an apricot and/or an apple and/or or other

Whether

You can mean whether with "az."
non en ser nan siina la az. = I don't know whether I like him or not.
