Comparison

Comparison

There are four conjunctions which express comparison.
Unlike English, there are no comparative degrees in Arka.
They are like >, = and < in math.

nod is "more than." It's > in math.
kalt is "less than." It's < in math.
kok is "as as." It's = in math.
enk is the negation of "kok." It's "not equal."

They are a conjunction, so they are put between nouns.

an nod la et kai. = I'm taller than him.
an kalt la et kai. = I'm less tall than him.
an kok la et kai. = I'm as tall as him.
an enk la et kai. = Unlike him, I'm tall.

You can use the conjunctions as casers.
e.g. an et kai nod la

"alka" and "aven" express the superlative degrees. They are like most (-est) and least.
kai alka = largest
kai aven = least large

"alka" and "aven" are adjective and adverb. It means you can use them as an adverb.
an siina tu alkal. = I like this the most.
