Arka has closed syllables and open syllables like English.
Words which end up with a consonant is more than words which end up with a vowel.

Syllable
Shortest V a (to)
Longest CCVCC prest (be of good omen)
Frequent syllables CVC and CVCC ket (cat), valn (health)

Unlike English, Arka doesn't like successions of consonants at the beginning of a word, so words like "strike" are low.

Unlike English, Arka splits words into more syllables.
CVCC is usually pronounced in two syllables.
A schwa is inserted between C and C or is added after CC.

For example, "fonl" is pronounced like /fon lq/ (q indicates a schwa. Its shape is like "3").
"fonl" is pronounced in one syllable when the speaker is in a hurry.
